Calidraw
Hand-drawn style drawing canvas built with rough.js, React and Vite - free, offline, no account needed.
A hand-drawn style whiteboard that runs entirely in the browser. Instead of the usual vector-perfect primitives, every shape is drawn through rough.js, which deliberately jitters the strokes so rectangles look sketched and lines look hand-drawn. It is free, offline, and needs no account - open the page and start drawing.

Built with React 19 and Vite on TypeScript, using TanStack Router for routing and TanStack Store for app state. Drawings are persisted locally with Dexie, which is just IndexedDB under the hood, rather than pushed to a server - so a board never leaves the machine. A few Excalidraw packages such as the laser pointer are pulled in where they help, and the project carries a vitest suite.
The point was to see how much of the real whiteboard feel survives without any backend, accounts, or sync - just a canvas, rough.js, and a local database.
